They also have a jobs, classified adds, and links section. Overall a great site, Outstanding! 90 Points

Wine Bid

Category: Online Wine Auction
Access: Free and Members Section (Free Membership)
Address: http://www.winebid.com/

Wine Bid is hands down the finest internet auction site in the world. There inventory consists of consignments from serious collectors and reputable wine retailers all over the world. Wine Bid personally evaluates every bottle that they sell and rejects the consignments that do not meet their high standards. You will find the best, most sought after wines in the world on Wine Bid and you can trust that the wine has been properly stored. All of the wine comes directly from their wine centers on the west and east coast. Wine shipments are fast and professionally packaged. Prices are very fair, they are consistent with market value, if not a little below. Seller fees are a tad steep, but people trust Wine Bid and you must expect to pay a higher commission for that level of trust. Very clean look to the site, very easy to use and register. I personally wouldn't use any other online site for buying or selling my wine. Classic! 100 Points

Wine Commune

Category: Online Wine Auction
Access: Free and Members Section (Free Membership)
Address: http://www.winecommune.com/

The Wine Commune is the Ebay of the internet wine auction sites. You can find some real values on this site, but be cautious. The wine on this site is a blind item. You are buying directly from the seller. Wine Commune uses a feedback system, just like Ebay, only buy from the sellers with a high feedback rating. If you are a seller, beware of the deadbeat bidder. Unlike Wine Bid, your payment is at the mercy of the buyer. Wine Bid immediately charges the buyer's credit card upon winning the auction, at Wine Commune you need to make payment arrangements. I have had both good and bad experiences with Wine Commune. Overall, the site has a busy and cluttered feel. It is easy to use, but not very eye appealing. If your looking for a bargain, this might be the site for you. Very Good! 85 Points

Robert Parker, Jr. is arguably the most powerful wine critic in the entire world. Wineries can "make it or break it" based on Mr. Parker's singular praise or lack there of. Whether you like it or not, agree with him or not, Robert Parker has one bully pulpit from which he wields enormous power over the world of wine. Luckily for the wine consumer, and for wine producers, he is the consummate professional. Robert Parker has built his golden reputation over two plus decades of fair, honest, and untainted wine consumer advocacy. His tasting notes are based on the merit of the wine and not the pedigree of the winery. He tells it like he tastes it. eRobertParker.com is a collection of tens of thousands of tasting notes, countless articles, consumer reports, and enviable accounts of Robert Parker's adventures with food and wine. The articles are informative and entertaining, the tasting notes are based on the 100 point rating system of Parker's own invention, and the consumer reports are a must read for every wine consumer at every level of wine appreciation. The site is well organized, clean, and packed with information. In my opinion, you could select any article at random and you would enjoy Parker's easy to read style and always learn something new. A membership to eRobertParker.com is a must addition to every wine collector's arsenal of wine resources . Classic! 100+ Points

Wine Spectator

Category: Consumer Information, Wine Review
Access: $49.95 Annual Fee (Free One Time 3-Day Access Pass)
Address: http://www.winespectator.com/Wine/Home/

The Wine Spectator is one of the most popular and widely read wine magazines in the world. The corresponding website is not surprisingly very similar in popularity and style. Like many mass media periodicals and mass media websites, it is filled with advertisements. In order to attract the advertising dollars, the magazine and the website need to have broad appeal. For that reason, the Wine Spectator is one of the most interesting and entertaining wine periodicals and websites on the internet. You can find articles ranging from The Future of Burgundy, to the best places to have dinner in Israel, to Jim Carrey's viewpoint on California Pinots. Wine spectator is home to what I call the Fantastic Four of the Wine World, i.e. James Laube, Matt Kramer, James Suckling, and James Molesworth. These four gentlemen are the best staff writers at the WS. I always look forward to their articles and their tasting notes. The website is a little too busy for my taste, and their latest edition is confusing and harder to navigate than before. However, the content is what really matters, and the content is certainly there. They have lots of great collector's resources, including the "WS Auction Index," and many articles about collecting and interesting wine collectors. I recommend the WS for everyone, particularly if you are just getting started with wine collecting. Outstanding! 100+ Points
